I’m currently learning MCP and reading through the official guidelines on modelcontextprotocol.io. Now I’d like to move from theory to hands-on practice.
As a beginner, what kinds of small, realistic projects are good for learning MCP in practice? For example, simple MCP servers or integrations that are not too complex but still teach the core concepts (tools, resources, prompts, etc.).
I’m comfortable with basic web APIs and one general-purpose language (Python/TypeScript), but I’m new to MCP itself. Suggestions with brief descriptions of the project idea and what MCP features it exercises would be very helpful.
