I have developed an app with Google nearby connections and I mainly followed this tutorial: https://developers.google.com/nearby/connections/overview?hl=de I could post my code but it will be the same as this tutorials'.
At home with my own wifi (all devices connected to this wifi), the connections work fast and without problems. But I now tested the app outside in the city and it could almost never establish a connection. Whether on a street, or in a building, or on a corn field. Even in my building outside my wifi it could almost never establish the connections. It just finds the other devices but the connection is not finally established.
My App just says STATUS_ENDPOINT_IO_ERROR. How can it be that outside my own wifi the API is so bad? Shall I consider something when establishing a connection?
I am using Android 11, 13 and 15. With my Android 11 device the connections are even worse. If it helps: I am always doing Advertising and Discovery at the same time.
