I’m currently learning more about cybersecurity and IT basics, and I’m trying to figure out what skills are the most important to focus on as a beginner. Right now I know a little about networking, databases, and computer hardware from school, but I want to improve my technical skills outside of class too.
Would it be better to spend more time learning Linux, networking concepts, or programming languages like Python first? I’ve also heard people say certifications like CompTIA A+ or Security+ are useful for beginners. I’m mainly interested in cybersecurity and possibly ethical hacking in the future, so I want to build a strong foundation before moving into advanced topics.
