My friend has an active Apple Developer Program account and has added me to App Store Connect with the App Manager role. I have access to the app in App Store Connect, can view builds, and manage app metadata.
However, when I try to upload a build from Xcode / EAS (Expo Application Services), I keep getting errors related to signing, certificates, or permissions, and the upload fails.
I do NOT have access to the Apple Developer Program account itself — only App Store Connect access. I am unsure if App Manager role is sufficient to upload builds, or if I also need to be added inside the Apple Developer account with Developer/Admin role.
I have been stuck on this issue for around 15 days and need to upload the build.
Can someone please clarify:
Is App Manager role enough to upload builds from Xcode/EAS?
Do I also need to be added in Apple Developer account (Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles)?
What is the correct setup so I can upload builds successfully?
