Interesting find, I tested a check box with preview handler and can confirm that I can reproduce this. Then I tried it with Binding, both IsChecked and Command. Long behold no problem at all, everything works fine. Conclusion: no code behind no problem. FYI preview event is never responsible for checking check box, it never was.
