I am trying to install Mosquitto-alpha on my MacStudio running Tahoe 26.2 (25C56), the goal being to use mqtt in PHP scripts. PHP 8.5 was installed via homebrew and is working as expected. Mosquitto 2.1.2 was installed with homebrew and is working as expected.

The install of Mosquitto-alpha produces the following (pay no attention to the directory, I get the same results in any case):

According to brew info cjson, cjson is installed. I have tried reinstalling it via brew.

Can anyone explain what's going on, going wrong? I suspect a path issue but I'm at the limit of my understanding of the file system/schema.
