Not really sure how to ask this. I have a bunch of text I need to add to the HTML on a page. It is completely UN-formatted.
Is there a way to get the <p></p> tags to surround a paragraph rather than having it auto-format a closing bracket as soon as you type an opening one and hit enter?

What do you call brackets here? <p> and </p>, or something else? Also, it is completely unclear what do you mean by un-formatted text. Is this question really about software development?

In what are you typing? A text editor? What exactly does "auto-format a closing bracket" mean?
