How does Salesforce handle validation rules when a before-save Flow updates the same record? [closed]

“I have a before-save record-triggered Flow updating a required field. A validation rule also checks that field. Sometimes the Flow fails with FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION. What is the correct execution order between before-save Flows and validation rules?”
