I’m currently evaluating AI coding assistants to improve my daily development workflow, but I’m unsure which tool fits my goals best.

Problem Summary:
I want an AI assistant that can help me with:

Writing complex logic and reasoning-heavy code

Speeding up inline editing and code iteration

Integrating smoothly with my editor and workflow

Expected Results:
I expected to find a single AI tool that excels at all of the above: reasoning, speed, and workflow efficiency.

Actual Results:
From initial testing, I see trade-offs:

Some assistants excel at reasoning but are slower for inline edits

Others are very fast but struggle with structured logic

No error messages, just uncertainty about which assistant to pick for practical development.

What I’ve Tried / Research:

Tested Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf for a week each

Read multiple comparison articles, but many are biased or hype-focused

Tried Reddit, Medium, and GitHub discussions for advice, but most are anecdotal
