I am facing a status bar overlapping issue on Android 15 and Android 16.
My layout works fine on older Android versions, but on Android 15+ the content goes behind the status bar.

My requirements:

Status bar background color should be applied properly.

If needed, I want to show an image behind the status bar (edge-to-edge style).

Layout should not overlap incorrectly.

What I tried:

fitsSystemWindows

statusBarColor

Different themes

But the behaviour is inconsistent on Android 15+.
